Also
While its good that the A7 III has so many customisation options
Some of them are confusing. And although Sony has made improvements
The extensive menu could still be better organised
I'm expecting these issues to be addressed by the Sony A7 IV

Sharpest 4K video of any Sony full-frame camera
Double the battery life of the last model
The editors didn't like
PSMS kind of a gimmick
Fewer AF points than the A9 and A7 III
36-page menu system needs to be simplified (and touch support!)
This is probably a camera for the person just getting into mirrorless options
But in 2018 folks should've been on the boat already
I genuinely think the Sony A7 III is a fantastic camera. Sony describes it as their “basic” option. For that
I understand
Color rendering on skin tone on the yellow end
24.2 megapixels might leave something to be desired
Dynamic range is excellent
But not amazing
Minimal use of the screen's touch-sensitivity
Tilting rather than vari-angle screen
Complex menu
Screen not true vari-angle
Only one card slot is UHS-II
No in-body flash
Shooting buffer must clear to start video
Dense menu system
Omits PC sync socket
Imbalance with larger lenses
No drive or focus mode dials
Good
Rather than great
Burst shooting buffer
Not especially portable
Menu system is difficult to navigate
Electronic Viewfinder Subject to Tearing
Only One Card Slot Supports UHS-II Cards
LCD touchscreen functionality limited to focusing
Subpar weather sealing around accessory ports
Only one of the two memory card slots supports the faster SD UHS-II cards
Those that need more resolution for detailed scenes or large prints
Those that need ultimate build quality for harsh shooting conditions
EVF and viewfinder not quite as good as rivals
Two SD card slots but only one is high-speed UHS-II

Abstract: Nikon's introduction of its Z6 and Z7 cameras might make it the most recent company to hop on board the professional mirrorless-camera bandwagon, but the venerable Japanese firm is hardly the first to take a crack at cutting the flipping mirror of single-...

EVF and viewfinder not quite as good as rivals, Two SD card slots but only one is high-speed UHS-II, Not as weather-resistant as the Fujifilm's X-H1, No 10-bit video output like Panasonic's GH5s
The Sony Alpha A7 III might not have the highest resolution, fastest shooting speed or best video quality. But by borrowing features from the flagship A9 and A7R III, it's uniformly excellent at everything.Shooting speeds are quick enough for nearly every...
Abstract: Three of the most talked about full-frame, interchangeable lens cameras of the past year, undoubtedly, have to be the Sony A7R III and A7 III mirrorless cameras, and the Nikon D850 DSLR. While we've reviewed all three models at Shutterbug, we haven't done...
