Op het moment van schrijven claimt Sony dat de nieuwe 70-200mm met slechts 1045 gram het lichtste F2.8 zoomobjectief ter wereld is. Wel zo prettig als je veel onderweg bent. Het zwaartepunt van dit objectief valt direct boven de statiefbevestiging, wat in combinatie met de interne zoom voor een goede balans zorgt.
