The editors didn't like
Video quality not as high other latest security cameras
Night vision quality not the best
No way to schedule quiet hours
Cloud recording will cost you an extra $30/year
Narrow field of view
Requires cloud subscription to view recorded video
Two-way audio could be clearer
Narrow 80-degree field of view
Can't view surveillance video clips without cloud subscription
Night vision works better outside than inside
Annual fee in order to see previous video clips
Motion detection cannot be automatically enabled when you leave home
Audio quality was spotty during testing. You have to pay for event-based cloud storage. Its 80-degree field of view doesn't cover very much ground and the live video stream often looked grainy in testing
The app can be slow to connect to the camera
Have to buy into Ring cloud services if you want saved video
