Difficult installing motherboard standoffs
Cable management is challenging
A tad more expensive than other mini-ITX cases out there
No reset button
Modular PSUs won't work in combination with a long GPU
Watch the length of the PSU
Especially if you want to install a long GPU
No external drive bay
Motherboard standoffs are quite hard to install correctly
Modular power supplies will not work with longer graphics cards
No 5.25-inch drive bays
Have to cherrypick a PSU if building a highend gaming rig
Must choose between fulllength GPU and six HDDs
Cable management always a struggle
Odd shape for an HTPC (Hard to place with other home theater components)
I've said it a few times in recent months that the Mini-ITX form factor is getting better and better and the Node 304 just further reinforces my belief. As seen in our build section it may not be the most practical solution in terms of space for our compo...
Fractal Design NODE 304 Mini ITX Casing retails at USD 99, it's on promotion on Newegg for USD 59.99 at the time of this article. Don't expect much flexibility out of the casing, the space constraint is too limited BUT it works very well as a classy lo...
we found that the Node 304 was a pleasant case to work with, although like most other ITX cases, some homework has to be done on the internal componentry to prevent installation conflicts. The chassis is selling for US$89 (Newegg) / SGD$129 (Cybermind)...
