Only two video inputs

The OSD has no visual markings that tell you what the buttons do. You have to press one so that the description pops up. Navigating menus can be a bit of a pain
Price will probably be an issue for most gamers. My biggest con was that I do not have an appropriate video card to test this monitor completely
Lacks the contrast of a VA panel
No ULMB (if that matters to you)
Navigating menus can be a pain
People have experienced flickering issues
Price – not for the average Joe gamer
Limited input options – would be nice to see more than one HDMI / DisplayPort inputs
Speakers aren't great
But monitor speakers never are
Factory calibration isn't as good as with the Predator X34. More expensive for minor upgrades

Abstract: There is a type of monitor that does not cost much more than a standard model but does offer much more work space. Experts know about it, but because they don't have a very recognisable name, they are often missed by those looking for a new, affordable di...

21:9 gaming can be a lot of fun, but it's worth spending some time to find the best monitor for your budget too. There are many on Amazon and most other major technology retailers to pick from. I would suggest many, but since the Acer X34 is the only one...

The amount of UWQHD monitors on the market keeps growing. This is nice, since potential buyers will have more models to choose from. Since our last test the prices have decreased a bit, but there have been quite a few new releases at the top of the mark...
OSD controls slightly fiddly, Stand movements not all that smooth, Limited connectivity, No FreeSync option
Acer Predator X34A – Image Quality Thankfully, there isn't too much need to jump into this display's OSD – image quality out of the box is excellent. The Acer Predator X34A delivers right across the board, with accurate colours, good contrast and, as alre...
Prices are staying high on ultra-wide panels, which is unfortunate. It really is a cool way to experience gaming and computing in general. If you've already committed to a high-end Nvidia-based rig, the Predator X34 might be just the right way to finish...
