TDP and power draw is almost unbelievable at 150W for such a high-performance GPU
Using only one 8-pin PCIe cable
In contrast the Fury X requires two 8-pin cables
Overclockability is very good so far – GPU Boost 3.0 works with the Precision X overcloc

Poor availability and thus pricing. AMD's aircooled RX Vega 64 reference card is ~5% slower than the GTX 1080 FE despite being hotter
Louder and using more power (though we have high hopes for custom cards)

Abstract: If you were amazed by the GeForce GTX 1080 performance under Linux but its ~$699 USD price-tag is too much to handle, the GeForce GTX 1070 is now shipping for $399~449 USD. NVIDIA sent over a GeForce GTX 1070 and I've been putting it through its paces und...
Since the Founders Edition GeForce GTX 1070 carries a price premium at $449, we do not think this price is warranted if you plan to overclock a GeForce GTX 1070. Custom add-in-board partner video cards will start at $379 and scale upwards from there based...

With the GTX 1080 leaving us breathless it's difficult to fully grasp how good the GTX 1070 is. You almost have to forget all that you know about the flagship nVidia model and really take a close look at how the GTX 1070 performs when compared to previous...

High price for the Founders Edition, Cooler runs into temperature limit, Fans don't turn off in idle, Overclocking more complicated than before, Could be quieter, DVI output no longer includes analog VGA signals

The most important aspect to take away from the launch of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Founders Edition is the fact that NVIDIA has taken what use to be $649 video card performance (GTX 980 Ti/R9 Fury X) and brought it down to $379-$449 price point. That i...

Abstract: The Geforce GTX 1080 tops the performance of the $1,000 Titan X card for $700. The Geforce GTX 1070 basically matches it for under $400. That's just nuts.Easily living up to the label of the most powerful graphics card yet, the Pascal powered Geforce GTX...
In short, the GeForce GTX 1070 will offer you a performance close to an overclocked GeForce GTX 980 Ti, while it consumes significantly less power and will retail for about $380.Nvidia's latest offering is capable of delivering a 1440p/60fps performance...
Going into this review we knew that the GeForce GTX 1070 featured 25% less CUDA cores than the GTX 1080, so it was expected that on average the 1070 would be between 20 – 25% slower. Well expectations where met, as the 1070 was 20% slower at 1440p and 18%...
