The editors liked

  • Ideal complement to high-refresh QHD monitors
  • Many games run smoothly at 4K and maximum quality
  • Improved thermal solution performance helps sustain higher GPU Boost clocks than previous generation
  • Packed with future-looking tech to accelerate next-gen
  • Capable of 4K gaming at 60 fps
  • Impressive power jump over the GTX 1080 and RTX 2080
  • Quiet and cool
  • Faster than GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
  • RTX Technology not gimmicky
  • Brings tangible IQ improvements
  • Deep-learning feature-set
  • DLSS an effective new AA method
  • Highly energy-efficient
  • Overclocked out of the box
  • Quiet in gaming
  • Backplate included
  • HDMI 2.0b

The editors didn't like

  • $800 price tag is higher than many existing GeForce GTX 1080 Ti cards
  • Which perform competitively
  • Dual axial fan design exhausts heat back into your case
  • Only real option for 4K PC gaming
  • And high price reflects that
  • Ray tracing / DLSS improvements are still unknowns
  • 650W power supply requirement
  • And extra power draw
  • High price
  • No Windows 7 support for RTX
  • Requires Windows 10 Fall 2018 Update
  • Bogged down by power-limits
  • No idle fan-off
  • High non-gaming power consumption (fixable
  • Says NVIDIA)

  • For high-frame rate and 4K gaming, the RTX 2080 series is superb. Some of the aftermarket cards are a smidge faster than the Founders Edition. However, they're a little more expensive too. That being said, I think you get a nicer looking, better made, and...

  • How Much Does it Cost? The new Nvidia RTX 20-series graphics cards range in price. Currently, there are Founders Editions of both the 2080 and the 2080 Ti. However, the 2070 edition will be released in the coming weeks. Of course, we've been busy testing p...

  • Abstract:  Nvidia wants you to spend about the same as an entirely new computer on its latest top-of-the-line graphics card, the GTX 2080 Ti. You could get a great laptop or a very solid desktop for the same £1,100 price Nvidia's new card commands. You could get a c...

  • Abstract:  I don’t think it’s much of a spoiler to say that the new Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti is the fastest consumer graphics card on the planet right now. There’d be villagers with flaming torches and pitchforks all the way up Walsh Avenue to Nvidia’s Santa Clara HQ otherwise. It’s a beautiful piece of silicon and technical engineering, both in the design of the Turing GPU itself as well as the physical Founders Edition card.

  • Impressively improved gaming frame rates, The second most performant GPU in the world, Super simple overclocking
  • Nvidia's most expensive xx80 card yet, Dips under 60 fps with some 4K games, More power demanding
  • If you're prepared to hand over the kingly sum of $799 (£749, AU$1,199) that this graphics card demands, you won't come away disappointed. Other than the Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti, there isn't another graphics card faster than this, or one that could possibly de...

  • Abstract:  The next generation of GeForce graphics cards is here and the Nvidia RTX 2080 is the first to get the PCGamesN treatment in our test rig, but as shiny as the Founders Editions cards are it almost feels wrong to be reviewing the RTX GPUs right now.

  • Let's get something obvious out of the way first: the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is the fastest consumer graphics card on the planet. Period. Taken over seven titles featuring specific games engines, the performance uplift at 4K over the GTX 1080 Ti is at...

  • The Turing story is really only just getting started, and how it develops and eventually goes down in history will depend on levels of consumer response, developer support of the new features, and how well Nvidia can market it and convince gamers that Hyb...
