This Vudu unit is extremely simple to setup and use. The remote control is completely intuitive so don't even bother reading the instructions as there is no reason to
I was amazed at how quickly I could begin watching the movie that I just rented. There is just no way that I should be able to stream a 1080p movie quicker than I can download a .pdf file
The user interface was one of the best

Pricey
Limited selection of movies
Complicated time windows prevent you from renting the newest movies
Selection of new releases isn’t very up-to-date
Currently lacks high-definition offerings
Some visible pixelation in digitally animated movies.
Lacks internal wireless capabilities. Cant manage content manually. No option to stream media from a PC. No way to transfer music to portable devices. Only 24-hour movie rentals. Small library of HD content.
I would like to be able to access movies that I rented or purchased at different locations. For example if you bought a movie and downloaded it to the Vudu box at your home
Then decided you wanted to watch it on the Vudu box at your lake house you would have to either pay for it again or take the box with you. I feel that it should be accessible from any location.
Occasional video problems. HD titles require leadtime to download. No option for streaming or playback of your own video files. TV selection is lacking. Catalog search is limited to registered owners.
Abstract: Hungarian journalist, novelist, and social philosopher Arthur Koestler once said that "the principal mark of genius is not perfection but originality, the opening of new frontiers." Far be it from me to argue with such a brilliant mind, but I believe h...

Inconsistent sound, high hardware cost, not all movies available for both rental and purchase
We were wholly impressed by our experience with the Vudu. The interface was excellent and easy to navigate, and the movies looked great and instantly started playing (with our admittedly fast ethernet connection). With only 5,000 or so titles availab...
All in all, I have had a positive experience with my Vudu. The picture quality is excellent, the selection is vast, and going from "now choosing" to "now playing" in seconds is a huge crowd pleaser. I have several movies on my Vudu that my 4-year-old w...

Abstract: Vudu made quite a splash a little while ago when the announced a video device that hooks straight up to your TV and lets you buy video. While this device could be called a Media Center PC, a TiVo, or an Apple TV, it is in fact simply called the Vudu an...
Abstract: I’ve tried several Internet-based movie services such as Vongo, Movielink, Netflix and Amazon Unbox. Each has its own pluses and minuses and require a Windows PC in some way (though now you can get some movies from Unbox directly through a TiVo). VUDU

Tons of companies are vying to deliver movies over the Internet, from CinemaNow and Vongo to Apple TV and Amazon Unbox. But none of these solutions simplify watching what you what you want, when you want, from the comfort of your sofa. Vudu, on the oth...

Steering clear of many of the pitfalls that sapped past video-on-demand broadband solutions, Vudu delivers the closest thing to "Netflix in a box" that weve seen to date.
