Not As Fast As The 850 EVO (For Some)
Write speed drops when SLC cache is full
Latency Percentile revealed some inconsistencies at higher write QD and overall elevated read latencies when the drive has been written to capacity
Inconsistent performance
Limited capacities
Not As Fast As The Samsung 850 EVO
Even though performance is good
We were expecting some more
Uneven performance
Entrylevel performance
High latency spikes during moderate and heavy workload
Writes slow down to 300MBps when cache is exceeded
A bit slow in high-queue-depth tests
Warranty is one notch from the top
Available in 750GB capacity only
Not the fastest in its class
The drive has a short three-year warranty and trails behind its main competitor
The more expensive Samsung 850 Evo
In performance and features
Performance levels may make upgrading from an existing SSD difficult
PCI Express SSDs are far faster
Not quite the revolution in GB/$ we were hoping for
Slower than some drives on the same price bracket
Write performance is weaker
Random read is a bit slower than planar NAND drives
Random read is a bit slower than planar NA
Only a 3-year warranty
TLC not trusted by as many users as MLC

3 Years Warranty
The only downside that I see with the MX300 SSDs is the short three year warranty. Samsung provides 5years warranty for their 850 EVO SSDs and 10years for their 850 Pro SSDs. I think that Crucial/Micron should increase the warranty to 5

Crucial's latest addition to the MX series of SSDs, the MX300, is a welcomed improvement over the last model. At its core, the MX300 utilizes 384G-bit 32 tier 3D TLC NAND. This NAND is three times the density of current planar TLC and utilizes floating ga...
The Crucial MX300 series has impressed us since we reviewed the now-discontinued 750GB version. The MX300 2TB is no different with this particular capacity bringing tangible benefits to the table in the form of better performance, increased longevity and...

While we tested the 750GB version of the MX300 SSD drive from Crucial, the performance differences between the drive below it (525GB) and the drive above it (1TB) should be quite similar so there really isn't a huge performance advantage to spend a littl...
With the release of both the 525GB and 1TB versions, Crucial’s MX300 family has finally reached a point where it offers something for everyone. While these new two drives effectively bookend the no-longer-limited-edition 750GB SKU, they just provide a tas...
The Crucial MX300 750GB Solid State Drive is a great little performer for home users. The better than expected write speeds was also a nice little surprise. With improvements through firmware revisions and higher capacity versions on the way, for everyday...
Throughout our testing, Crucial's MX300 had no problems exceeding the minimums we have in place for TLC-based SSDs. The MX300 really delivered the goods as demonstrated by our transfer testing where it was able to sustain a 28.6GB transfer at well over 50...
