Ships without mounting brackets
Middling Overall Performance

Final Thoughts
OCZ has built a reputation of manufacturing quality
High performance SSDs. If you are in the market to replace that aging and slower mechanical drive
Then the ARCr 100 240GB SSD from OCZ is just the drive
A Bit Slower Than Its Competitors
Price may still be too high
Given the current market cost/GB landscape
Crucial's MX100 drive costs a little less and delivers better performance overall
No 1TB model
Fewer in-box niceties than previous OCZ drives
The new SSD doesn't come with any accessories or software
It has a short three-year warranty
And its performance ranks behind that of other recently released drives
Sequential reading and writing performance isn't the strongest
But then again
This is a budget SSD.
No accessory bundle
Compared to Crucial's MX100
It's pricier
Slower
Has less endurance and lacks some encryption features.
Good and consistent performance, Price, 3 year ShieldPlus warranty, Sticker on the drive makes it stand out
No accessory bundle
When it comes down to it this is not the fastest solid state drive out there, but it is not designed to be. As I mentioned in the introduction of this review this drive is more of a value-oriented drive and its price reflects that, but let's not take awa...

Overall, the ARC 100 delivers good performance especially at higher I/O requests. The drive may not be the fastest on the market for every single workload but it is no slouch either. It delivers more than acceptable performance for its price. We do lo...

OCZ's ARC 100 SSD is an excellent choice for the cost-conscious consumer looking to upgrade their storage to a faster or higher capacity solution. Powered by the same Indilinx-infused Barefoot 3 M10 controller as the Vertex 460, the ARC 100 uses Toshiba's...

OCZ returning to the mainstream segment is an interesting development to say the least, and its importance should not be underestimated. One needs to keep in mind that OCZ did not drop out of the this particular segment due to their products lacking per...

The ARC 100 provides what I expected it to do, which is its strength and weakness. The Barefoot 3 platform does provide excellent performance consistency and it has proven to be reliable over the last two years, but the performance in lighter workloads is...

Although the OCZ ARC 100's peak speeds do not saturate the SATA 6Gb/s bus, it achieves what it was designed for; it is an entry level SSD at a value price point....

The OCZ ARC 100 240GB (1GB byte = 1,000,000,000 bytes) drive yields 223GiB (1Gib = 1,073,741,824 bytes) available to the user as reported by Windows. This is typical for a drive of this capacity after the spare area and Windows takes their share. So no...
Before we weigh in with our final verdict, we'll bust out a few of our famous value scatter plots. These plots use an overall performance score compared against a common baseline. This score is based on a subset of the performance data from our full suit...
The ARC 100 series has been released in a market where a rule, more for less applies. Stringent competition required companies to make compromises. OCZ has been doing exactly that, making compromises. But not in the overall build quality. The ARC 100 ser...
