  • Extensive Connectivity and inclusion of new technology, Strong on-board audio platform with dual ALC1220 Processors, Genuine commitment to longevity and build quality, Great Aesthetics and LEDs, Good overclocking capability, Easy to use BIOS, Solid, Intui

  • Most motherboard vendors don't take big risks with aesthetics, and this can be seen when we look at lower-end products with designs that the community asks for, while mid and high-end products always play it safe. MSI took a risk making their Z270 Gaming...

  • High-level automatic overclocking potential, 3 x M.2 ports, Feature laden, Fast
  • Some features are gimmicks, Expensive
  • We had some fun testing this board, but once we'd established the limits of its performance with our components we found we were in a similar performance space to the Gigabyte Aorus Z270X-Gaming K...

  • Desirable neutral theme, Excellent performance, Excellent for overclocking, Arrives with USB 3.1 front header, Uses strengthened PCI Express slots, Extra advanced/overclocking buttons, Features TripleM.2 slots, Features U.2 slot, Capable audio solution
  • Short on USB ports on the back panel, HDMI 1.2 rather than HDMI 2.0 port
  • While the dust from the Intel Kaby Lake and 200 series motherboard release may have settled, today has proven how MSI's Z270 GAMING M7 is still an excellent motherboard to choose for those wanting a taste of Z270.Where bright and distinguishing colours we...

  • Ample storage options for SSD fans, Shielded PCIe and DDR4 slots, Onboard power buttons, OCfriendly tools and features, Wellrounded I/O, Independent front and rear audio processors, Front Panel USB TypeC header
  • Nonconfigurable red LEDs that interrupt the aesthetic, Lighting colour and pattern options are too restricted, M.2 Shield results mixed, Pricing could be more competitive
  • The MSI Z270 Gaming M7 strikes us as being a well-rounded and competent motherboard for the high-end of the market with a number of interesting and innovative features. These include dual independent audio processors to supply the rear and front panel aud...
