If you want to buy a "budget" gaming laptop, the Asus G75VW-AS71 offers plenty of horsepower and features in its heavy 17-inch body. Just don't expect anything svelte -- or good battery life.

The Asus G75VW is far from pretty and it certainly isn't cheap, but it redeems itself by providing a massive serving of power for both general computing and gaming. The bold, Full HD screen sadly lacks the touch capabilities for Windows 8 though....
The Asus G75VW-DH72 may not offer the best performance, but it puts a solid gaming laptop in your hands for under two grand....
