Built-in duplexing; 3.5-inch LCD and full set of controls on the printer; solid photo quality; direct printing via PictBridge, IrDA, and (with adapter) Bluetooth; Mac and Windows compatible.
Mediocre text quality; slow.
Versatile stand-alone operation and good photo quality make the Canon Pixma iP6600D appealing for digital camera owners, but slow operation and mediocre text output mean its a bad choice for SOHO or business use.

The Canon Pixma iP6600D Photo Printer can function as an all-purpose printer, but its best reserved for photos, with a PictBridge connector, a kiosk-style front-panel menu for printing from memory cards, an LCD for previewing photos, and much better s...

The output from the Canon Pixma is exemplary. Colours are rich and accurate. The prints are sharp with wonderful detail. We tried leaving the printer to its own devices to run off 20 prints from an SD memory card. The results, using Canon’s best pap...
For some reason we always have a small difficulty installing the printer software for Canon printers. This time the installation stalled while we were forced to hunt around for the Windows XP disc in order to install something called USB Human Interfac...
We compared the Canon Pixma iP6600D with the Epson R800, which is more expensive. We made a number of identical prints on both printers and came to the conclusion that the Epson probably has the edge in print life and it creates prints with richer, dee...
Wide range of print sizes up to A4, prints to paper and CD/DVDs, rapid in use.
Careful study of the manuals needed to get the best out of the printer.
This is quite some printer; its minimal size conceals a power of features. A great machine for office and home. Each cartridge costs $26.95. That?s a total $161.7) for the six required. Reviewer: Byer Gair
Large LCD monitor, Twin paper sources and DVD/CD labels, Duplex print as standard PictBridge socket
Slow compared to non-photo inkjets, Slight fuzz on black text
The Canon PIXMA iP6600D is a smart and professional looking printer. Styled in silver and black and about the size of a hi-fi amplifier, it has two ways of feeding paper. Theres a paper feed tray at the back, which can take up to 150 sheets at a time....
