  • Nice black-and-white conversion capabilities
  • No more ImageReady.
  • Runs native on Intelbased Macs
  • Improved user interface
  • With more customization options
  • Improved performance in both Mac OS X and Windows
  • Nondestructive editing leaves your original image intact
  • Includes Camera RAW 4 plugin.

The editors didn't like

  • No real enhancements made to meat-and-potatoes masking features
  • Print layout tools still sadly lacking.
  • Steep learning curve for new users
  • Some features are difficult to use
  • Selecting objects in lowcontrast images can be tricky.
