That's why this is a very solid slate. The iPad Mini Retina gets from us a 9.6 out of 10 for design
A 9.7 for hardware and a 9.5 out of 10 for OS and UI. The final grade is a 9.6 out of 10
IOS 7 is still a little rough around the edges on this and every iPad
Air gap between glass and LCD keeps screen from being as good as it could be
Features like Touch ID will have to wait until next year at the earliest

iOS 7 is in need of further tablet optimization

Just big enough to not fit in some jacket pockets
IOS 7 has problems
Expensive for a small tablet
I miss the black color
Display is slightly less bright than the iPad Air. Colors look washed out when compared to iPad Air and iPhone 5s/5c
Especially for storage upgrades and the cellular model. Display color gamut is lacking.
Great display quality, Great performance, Long battery life, Impressive design and profile
Way more expensive than previous iPad Mini, No expandable storage option, New color variants aren't inspiring
