The editors didn't like
The audio quality coming out of the speakers is a definite disappointment
Especially on the 10.5
Which feels like it should have immersive sound to match the incredible screen. Samsung's TouchWiz still causes some stutter. There are a lot of redundant a
Plastic case
Average battery life
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is available on Amazon for around $400. This is a very well-built tablet but it couldn't stand out in the saturated market. I will recommend it only if you haven't got a big tablet yet
It
Performance lags at times
Covers are awkward to use
Camera washes out some images
Wi-Fi and GPU performance not quite up to the competition
Speakers sound tinny and distorted at maximum volume
Smooth back panel lacks tactile grip
Soft navigation buttons flanking home button are oversensitive
No support for NFC
TouchWiz features can be overwhelming
Tricky fingerprint scanner
Heavy TouchWiz overlay
Plastic backing
TouchWiz UI means there's a bit of bloatware in the mix. That same plastic dimpled backing as the Samsung Galaxy S5 (although it does look better on these tablets)
My Magazine feature can't be removed
Disappointing speakers
Lacks NFC
SideSync 3.0 supported is limited to a few Galaxy smartphones
Performance dips with processor intensive operations

Samsung has come a long way since its first tablet in 2010. It is not far-fetched to say that the Tab S (10.5-inch) is the strongest tablet offering we've seen from Samsung or any other Android vendor to-date. With the exception of the Google Nexus 7 (201...
Samsung has blessed the Galaxy Tab with one of the best tablet screens we've ever laid eyes on. It's stunning. Razor-sharp, vibrant, with pure blacks, it's a work of art that's a pleasure to behold. While its plastic design is still easily bested by the al...
Abstract: Samsung Malaysia had an interesting experiment to promote their Galaxy Tab S – using vision as a complimentary “enhancement” to taste and smell. The experiment is simple, but it raised my eyebrows out of interest.First, they gathered a few samples of commo...
With the Galaxy Tab S, Samsung finally has its iPad killer. But that doesn't mean it's going to be the right choice for most people.Samsung created an impressive tablet, but by pricing it the same as the iPad, its drawbacks, especially the lack of tablet-...
The GALAXY Tab S is Samsung's best ever tablet, and its pretty obvious that Samsung is trying to take it directly to Apple with these two devices. Specs-wise, Samsung emerges the winner, and the Tab S's Super AMOLED display is a real killer feature. While...

Abstract: Earlier today Samsung officially unveiled their newest flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S. The Tab S comes in two distinct flavors: a full sized 10.5-inch version and a smaller, 8.4-inch variant. Samsung says that they developed these two tablets with supe...
Abstract: I feel depressed when I look at my Apple iPad 3, which is only 18 months old.Just after I bought it, I had resisted rushing out to get the iPad Air, which is 30 per cent lighter, when it launched last November. But now, looking at the Sony Experia Z2 and t...
