The editors liked Looks fantastic Especially the snow levels Expansions are free For the first time in almost a decade Multiplayer "construction" tool adds new tactics Visually and sonically impressive War Stories offer a promising single-player structure Consistent performance Pulse-pounding gameplay Breathtaking audiovisuals Attrition adds complexity Exciting maps Free downloadable content New levels of visual appeal Adds life to the gaming environment Pushes new levels of immersion Improvements should continue Fantastic visuals Brilliant multiplayer War Stories has some great moments Grand Operations brings out the best in Battlefield Frontlines and Breakthrough are focused Thrilling modes Impressive visual and audio experience that elevates the better moments Smooth movement and impactful gunplay come together seamlessly Small t Satisfying gunfights at short Medium Or long range Customization for guns is the deepest it's been yet (including mastery challenges to unlock new camo parts for weapons) Medic class is still (too bad it's limited to just SMGs for its primary) Potential to be the best entry in the franchise Beautiful graphics and RTX is a great bonus Squad-focused gameplay is fun and Absolutely gorgeous presentation Musical score And sound Progression system will keep players engaged Grand Operations are an amazing addition Single player vignettes are a welcome extension Tides of War for everyone
The editors didn't like War Stories rely too much on stealth and lack emotional depth Some multiplayer maps lack focus Character customization feels tonally off-kilter Progression system needs streamlining Repetitive gameplay structure Visual hiccups Bland Short campaign Stiff performance penalty Still feels like there's more that can be optimized Doesn't do anything drastically new Poor AI and annoying load times Most maps feel too congested or disjointed for Conquest mode War Stories is inconsistent in style and tone A number of small bugs accumulate to show rough spots Vehicle progression seems a bit too demanding Very brief singleplayer campaigns Character animations feel out of place and can lead to some frustrating glitches Many cosmetics are simply palette swaps No Battle Royale mode until March The games feels incomplete and needs a lot of patches RTX halves performance in most cases and is not optimized Bugs and more bugs need to be ironed out... A few cosmetic hiccups remain Havok and clipping abound
