The editors liked
Movement has never been this fun
With the utterly excellent parkour system in place
Glass is an absolute joy to explore
Move around and even take in. Only improved by puzzle sections where you have to think and find your way to a location
Controls and movement are fluid. The main story flows beautifully
The editors didn't like
Unnapealing characters and development make the story poor at best. The combat is obstructive
So while Mirror's Edge Catalyst is a faithful reboot, it improves on its original formula with several welcome tweaks. From Faith's slicker combat style to her more nuanced personality, there's much more to admire about this game than its wondrous des...

Visually stunning world with Parkour at its finest, all mashed together with an amazing soundtrack.
Faith still gets occasionally confused and forgets how to Parkour, Not the longest story ever told

Looks amazing, properly open-world, Faith is an iconic heroine, proves that first-person platforming can be enjoyable, has plenty of meatiness this time around
Too easy to die when you shouldn't, takes too long to get going, brawling engine feels clunky, story missions are too often mundane, Faith's upgrade path feels like an afterthought
Mirror's Edge Catalyst has various gripes, then, but they don't entirely detract from Catalyst's enjoyment. Without doubt it is much more fun and, crucially, substantial than the first game. However, hardcore gamers will note those flaws, and react...
Still has that fun parkour gameplay, A diverse cast of characters
Little variation in side-content, Bad “runners vision” UI, Extra modes and multiplayer feels tacked on, Open world doesn't work for this game
Some games aren't supposed to spawn sequels. Or reboots. Or become massive franchises. Not every idea can support the weight that falls on series like Call of Duty, The Legend of Zelda, or Assassin's Creed. (Truth be told, even some of those franchises...
