The editors didn't like

  • Items from the previous expansion packs not included in this version. You have to pay for cool downloadable items once your initial free online points run out.
  • Downloadable content costs real Earth dollars
  • Managing big families is pretty tough.
  • Similar activities

  • Most additional official content costs real money
  • Some pathfinding issues.
  • Watching Sims sleep every night
  • Unrewarding lifetime rewards
  • Frustrating pathfinding.
  • Section above
  • The Sims 3 departs quite a bit from The Sims and The Sims 2. You get one neighborhood. In that neighborhood

  • New real-time map, diverse personalities, high replay-value, it’s The Sims!
  • Not much new to sink your teeth into
  • The Sims 3 is a gentle evolution of the series that retains everything fans hold dear. While the improvements on offer aren’t major, they’re enough to make the upgrade worthwhile. Bring on the expansion packs! ...

  • Detailed character creation with character traits. Graphical overhaul in true Sims style. Explore the entire town, on foot, in your car or on your bike. Addictive.
  • Wont appeal to people who previously havent enjoyed the series. Still gets a bit confusing when your household gets too large.

  • Vast, almost mindblowing possibilities and outcomes
  • Awkward padbased controls and occasionally skittish performance
  • Just as addictive as ever, despite the lukewarm control system...

  • Abstract:  How the hell do you write about The Sims 3, or at the very least, squeeze it into around 800 words? At base level, it is ostensibly the same game as the two that came before it, and their many, many expansion packs, and it is only when you get into the...

  • Abstract:  On one level its essentially still The Sims, but on another, so many careful tweaks have been implemented (not to mention a few big changes) that this third incarnation is a joy to explore and unfold. Its a massively charming outing into a seamless ...

  • Free roaming world adds alot to gameplay; More careers and choices overall; Improved needs system, urination isn't a must at parties any longer
  • Not at all that different; Seems like a glorified expansion pack; No previous expansion content

  • Abstract:  Nine years on from the original game, The Sims gets a second sequel that refines the improvements made over the course of many expansion packs. The essence of the game is still resource and task management in daily life, and if that and the open-ended ...

  • Abstract:  Possibly one of the most anticipated games for the PC, the Sims 3 has been out for just under a month now. But does it match up with what many people were thinking? Having done some research into the game I can tell you how good it really is. Well thin...
