Abstract: Carrying Sony’s new mantra of play, create, and share, Modnation Racers was revealed during the company's E3 2009 press conference to a surprised crowd. When compared to the rest of the showings, many of which were leaked in the weeks leading up to the...
Abstract: A bend in the road approaches when suddenly another driver cuts inside and zooms past. It’s brash, arrogant, but nothing compared to what the driver of the passing vehicle does. He turns slightly and facially signals what he thinks of you and your driv...
It’s a shame that something as seemingly inconsequential as the load times is the main problem with a game as good as ModNation Racers, but I guess that speaks to the overall quality of everything else. The driving is fun, the creating is deep but easy...
Has recognisable kart racing mechanics, good online capabilities, custom content can be shared with other players
Ridiculously long loading times, characters lack distinctive personalities
ModNation Racers looks great and incorporates some solid kart racing mechanics. But the game is hindered by long loading times between races and lacks the 'soul' of Mario Kart...

Abstract: I promised myself that I wouldn’t stick the phrase “Little Big Racer” into any of the teaser blurbs for this review. It was difficult – this is, after all, Sony’s attempt at crafting a user-driven experience that does for kart racing what Little Big Pl...
Overall, I’ve been impressed with ModNation Racers but because of the stupidly long load times for pretty much everything you do, I’ve knocked my score down a bit. There is meant to be a patch coming out to solve this issue, but it’ll need sorting soon...
Customisation tools are easy to use, yet extremely indepth, Track Editor adds infinite replay value, Performs well on the track, with smooth handling and fastpaced races, Up to 12 players online
Would have been nice to be able to tweak Kart performance more, Career mode commentators are irritating and it's a little bit boring
and scoreThat fun factor could have been multiplied if karts handled differently. In Mario Kart (sorry to refer to it again) you have a roster of characters that all have different strengths and weaknesses on the track; and that works extremely well. ...
