  • Positively hilarious at times; classic light-gun gameplay; easy to pick up and play.
  • Zero realism; laughable dialog; gets a little repetitive after extended play.
  • Segas AM2 has been one of the most prolific arcade developers in the business, but its never really been too terribly concerned with providing realistic experiences. No, AM2 typically goes right for the throat in an effort to pry quarters from arcade...

  • Abstract:  A port of the arcade shooter, Ghost Squad lacks the meatiness of The Umbrella Chronicles but it still has its moments.

  • Abstract:  Theres a certain undiluted pleasure to be found in lightgun games that simply cannot be replicated elsewhere. It stems from a combination of fast-paced adrenalin-pumping action, and the sheer physicality of holding a replica weapon between clammy fing...

  • Even with multiple playthroughs, Ghost Squad is incredibly short.
  • A deliberate 90s-arcade-game charm and some ridiculous non sequiturs give this incredibly brief light gun shooter an odd appeal. ...

  • Abstract:  Since SEGAs announcement that Ghost Squad would be coming to Wii, weve been in a constant love/hate relationship with the game. On one hand, Ghost Squad is one of the top light-gun games of the last five years, and is a no-brainer for any purebred sh...

  • Abstract:  Ah, the light gun genre, how have you been? Some would say that rail shooters should be exclusive to arcades, while others would say that these types of games are too shallow to even exist. No matter the opinion, no one can honestly admit that they hav...

  • Lots of unlockable content, fast action means twitch gamers with itchy trigger fingers should definitely apply
  • Limited number of levels, game will probably wear thin after a few playthroughs The Final Word Lacking in depth and substance, Ghost Squad relies on trigger happy gamers content to play the same levels again and again.

  • Does what it says on the tin, Missions are a good blast, Multiple paths may keep you coming back for more, 4 player party mode
  • It’s over before it’s started, Lack of variety/ repetitive, Cutscenes add nothing to the game
  • Each mission in Ghost Squad does have an overall purpose, such as rescuing the President, and concludes with an end-of-level objective, which is an enjoyable diversion, and requires both a steady hand and quick reactions as you use the likes of a snipe...

  • Lots of fun, real old school blasting action, tonnes of extras
  • Short single-player campaign, poor visuals, ridiculous over-the-top story
  • For old school light gun fans, this is an enjoyable, if short-lived, example of the much missed genre
