The editors liked

  • Clean presentation
  • Extremely user-friendly
  • Directly targeted at young
  • Casual audience.
  • Wide variety of instruments
  • Easy to pick up and play
  • Fun.
  • Mildly amusing minigames. In particular “Mii Maestro”
  • Where the motion of the remote dictates the gusto that the orchestra plays their music

The editors didn't like

  • The more traditional "hardcore" gaming audience will simply not care about the experience it offers.
  • Not worth full retail price
  • Gameplay is too simple
  • Not enough game modes.
  • Only five songs for Mii Maestro.

  • Will keep the kids and Grandma occupied on Boxing Day morning. Sharing creations online is clever.
  • Too little too late. You’ll need four remotes and four nunchucks to get the full benefit.

  • Abstract:  I was never really interested in Wii Music; I just couldn't see the point. You see, my gaming palette is defined by adventure - interactive titles spark my interest none. Yet despite this, I am hooked on Wii Music. My week has been occupied by late nig...

  • Abstract:  Trouble is, you are usually creating such a frightful din that the game is more likely to have the opposite effect. The music itself is the biggest blunder. Who wants to play the likes of Twinkle, Twinkle, Happy Birthday or Yankee Doodle? And when Wii...

  • Abstract:  Inevitably this is the kind of title that comes into its own with more than one player, but Wii Music still fails to fully capitalise on its intriguing premise. Nintendo - Wii Music price Buy Wii Music securely online at a bargain price £39.99 inc. VA...

  • Abstract:  I remember listening to a debate a few years ago where people pondered that developers were much more creative years ago than they are now. The reasoning behind this was due to the limited toolset they had to work with back then, and the fact that they...

  • Fun for the family, for a while, Accessible for youngsters
  • Poor song list, Over simplified control scheme Lacks any challenge, Its just about making noise
  • The game modes are a bit of a random bag. Jam mode allows for up to 6 players, 4 human controlled and 2 A.I., to choose a different instrument and either jam along to a set track and then improvise, save , replay and share their videos via WiiConnect ...

  • Fun for all the family, easy to pick-up: a challenge to master, plenty of laughs to be had
  • As a solo fare it might get a little tedious, the cutsey characters won’t appeal to all, questionable longevity
  • Wii Music follows in the vein of many Wii games, it delivers cutsey characters, plenty of interactive options and great laughs for multiple players...
