The editors liked Bold Creative story-telling Intriguing depiction of hell Fights are quite fun at times Provocative art Does a good job of adapting unlikely source material. Worthwhile combat sequences and excellent level design are the highlights in this devilish tale. Combat is bloody good fun Some of the creature designs are gloriously vile Solid Combat Some good puzzles Engaging Levellingup system. Presents a solid charcter action title that offers up plenty of fun button mashing. Great set pieces Lush visuals Fluid combat Fastpaced action
The editors didn't like Copy-cat gameplay Certain enemies seem out of place Some characters are revolting After initial shock Hell's environs prove repetitive Combat can get stale. It doesn't carry the emotional or moral weight that it should For a game set in Hell It's surprisingly bland. Final one-third of the game is lousy Puzzles are either way too easy or just lame Uneven difficulty too often relies on cheap deaths Very derivative A bit previousgen visually Alternate endings would've helped It copies quite heavily from other charcter action titles inheriting those games issues in the process While presenting its own unique issues with derrivative Trial and error based puzzles. Relatively short Frustrating platforming Relic saving
