The editors liked
New graphics
Sound design
And new musical score are all fantastic additions
Reworked maps are fun to explore
Voiceactivated command and Kinectenabled galleries are a nice plus
If not essentially useful or memorable. Having the Halo
Reach engine's perks in multiplayer really beefs up the replay value in the Anniversary maps.
Remastered visuals feature beautiful lighting and environmental detail
Campaign is still exciting and satisfying
Multiplayer maps are great fun to revisit
Iconic soundtrack is still excellent
Switching between classic and remastered presentation is entertaining.
The editors didn't like
Retaining the old source code from the first Halo means no improvements or additions to the core combat
Minor bugs and glitches
Swapping up the graphics feels a bit laggy. Firefight is a bit of a disappointment.
Checkpoint system can be unreliable
Only onethird of the original multiplayer maps are included

In the end, Combat Evolved Anniversary is a strange package. Its campaign feels half hearted, neither fully remaking nor preserving the original game. The Reach multiplayer maps, while excellent, feel tacked on to the package to attempt to justify this be...
Abstract: It’s been a year of remastered and remade video game classics. From the stereoscopic reinvention of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo 3DS to the subtler overhaul and HD-ification of Sony’s classic Ico and The Shadow of the Colossus games, p...

Adrian: Ability to switch from old to new graphics; visuals, sounds and multiplayer maps are amazing, Ashton: Online coop campaign is a lot of fun (if you have a good connection)
Adrian: Kinect seemed a bit out of place, few problems with Anniversary Multiplayer
