The editors liked

  • Focus on moral decision making that doesn't just focus on epic
  • Galaxy-saving issues
  • Improvements to player movement make you feel more like an action hero
  • Wraps up a wide range of sprawling subplots without straying too far from the main story
  • Detaile
  • The writers are at the top of their game throughout Mass Effect 3
  • Combat is extremely fluid
  • And feels much improved over Mass Effect 2
  • Thrasher Maw vs Reaper = EPIC
  • Fantastic
  • Moving story that balances plot and character
  • Past and present choices impact the game in wonderful and unexpected ways
  • Muchimproved level design leads to challenging
  • Exciting battles
  • Fantastic art design makes great use of color and composition
  • Topnotch voice acting brings every major character to life.

The editors didn't like

  • Cover system can still be frustratingly wonky
  • Enemy forces don't get harder so much as more numerous
  • Most of the good systems in Mass Effect 2 have been streamlined to nonexistence
  • The way you acquire side missions is completely lazy programming
  • Why do Geth
  • A mechanical construct
  • Have MediGel packs on their flagship?
  • Some glitches and bugs
  • Galactic travel and scanning aren't much fun.

  • Immersive gameplay, Forces players to make difficult and often morally ambiguous decisions, Detailed and extensive universe, Excellent voice acting and script, Great combat system for a RPG
  • Storyline may be hard to follow even for seasoned players of the Mass Effect series, Multiplayer mode is a bit bland
  • Like its predecessors, Mass Effect 3 is engaging and addictive. You really do get to step into Shepard's shoes where the choices you make a difference and impact the lives of other characters in the game. Highly recommended...

  • Superb in almost every aspect: narrative, direction, choices, combat, soundtrack, voice acting, customisation, the list goes on.
  • Disappointing endings, minor graphical hiccups.

  • A superb, sagacapping story surrounding intense combat action. Real depth and real interactivity,
  • Long load times, technical glitches, framerate issues on the PS3
  • This mighty sci-fi epic gets the ending it deserves. With high-class action and a brilliant story, Mass Effect 3 is every bit as gripping and immersive as Mass Effect 2, and ends a series that no sane gamer should miss. ...
