  • Abstract:  Ninja Gaiden (the recent series, not the 16-bit era side scroller) kicked off in fine form on the Xbox, back in 2004. Its combination of ninja action and ludicrous difficulty made it something of a fan favorite. So much so, in fact, that the same game ...

  • Eye-popping graphics and effects that put you inside the game. The gameplay is effective and different but constantly challenges your button smashing abilities. Controls are unique but range from simple to complex.
  • The sound is not used nearly enough and is sometimes needed in important parts of the game. The difficulties are amazingly hard and starting on easy is recommended.

  • Beyond being easier and ‘more accessible’ Ninja Gaiden hasn’t really evolved these last few years. Not the game we had hoped for. 7.3/10Print this pageUser reviews (0)Share this pageNoticed something wrong? Report error/mistake....

  • Graphics, fight dynamics, pace, plenty of gore, weapons
  • Storyline somewhat comical, missing a key can lead to tedious backtracking
  • With thick and fast action, Ninja Gaiden II will appeal to fans of fighting games across the board

  • Gory, slice and dice combat, Easyaccess submenu, Punishing difficulty makes victory that much sweeter
  • Horrible camera that gets stuck behind things, Lousy level graphics don't jibe with prettylooking gore, Punishing difficulty makes victory nighimpossible

  • Boasts the deepest, fastest, most gruesome combat on the planet, Is simpler than previous NG games, Satiates the gore hound within, Falcons Talons are without doubt the best weapons ever devised
  • Can be painfully tough at times, Platforming sections suck, Camera can be problematic
  • Ninja Gaiden has the distinction of being known as one of the toughest games ever made. Its various iterations (Ninja Gaiden Black for the Xbox and Ninja Gaiden Sigma for the PlayStation 3) were tougher than the original game and brought even the most ...
