The editors liked

  • I have no complaints about the sound quality of the Nano- unless I compare it to my studio mic. It's a very unfair comparison because my Neumann mic setup plus tube preamp costs over 10x as much vs. the Nano. However
  • There's a LOT of fiddling involved to
  • Same Yeti sound for less
  • Very portable
  • Choice of colors
  • Illuminated control dial
  • Great sound quality
  • Sturdy build
  • Affordable price
  • Excellent broadcast sound quality
  • 2 Different Polar Patterns to choose from
  • Easy setup
  • Solid Build Quality
  • Professional look and feel
  • Headphone jack with low latency monitoring

The editors didn't like

  • None. For this price
  • It's hard to go wrong
  • Only two polar patterns
  • Front dial feels loose
  • Flimsy ports
  • Standard Yeti isn't much costlier
  • Only two directional patterns
  • Limited controls
  • No pop filter or windscreen
  • Gain is only adjustable via Sherpa software

  • Abstract:  The Blue Yeti Nano boasts premium audio quality for streaming, podcasting, and music. With 24-bit/48kHz recording capabilities, two pickup patterns, and a fairly portable build, this microphone can do a lot for a reasonable price. If you need a budget rec...

  • Great sound quality, Sturdy build, Affordable price
  • Only two directional patterns, Limited controls
  • (Image credit: Future)I don’t want to sound too down on the Blue Yeti Nano as it genuinely is a great USB microphone. It’s robustly built, much more so than the Snowball, and quality-wise it’s capable enough for amateur podcasting or as a major upgrade on...

  • The Blue Yeti Nano is the real deal. If you are looking at this review, I'm going to assume you haven't gone down the XLR road yet. You'll see some people saying that no one will take you seriously with a USB mic, and I completely disagree with that. The...

  • Excellent sound quality, Great value at a competitive price, Preset audio levels are great for beginners, Attractive and stylish aesthetics, Direct monitoring through a 3.5mm jack, Good candidate for modding (cost & design)
  • – The button layout makes it impossible to know what pattern you are in without turning the Nano around
