The editors didn't like

  • The FM radio and camera are still in their baby steps

  • Camera position awkward
  • No still pictures
  • Weak speaker
  • Prone to camera shake
  • Video camera's lens placed in a stupid location. Can't take still images. Lacks autofocus. Has no optical zoom (but neither does the Flip). External speaker has squeaky audio playback
  • The Nanos camera cant shoot photos or HD-quality video and Apple located its lens in the most awkward location imaginable. Storage capacities remain stuck at 8GB and 16GB.

  • All things considered, the new 5th generation iPod Nano is well worth taking a look at if you want to upgrade your iPod, but I wouldn’t upgrade if I had a 4th generation Nano, as the new features, personally, don’t justify the purchase of anot...

  • Abstract:  Take a quick glance at the new iPod nano and you'd be forgiven for mistaking it for the old one. Aside from an expanded range of nine colours, it sports the same slim, curved body, and the capacities haven't increased beyond 8GB and 16GB, either. Flip ...

  • New aluminum finish, Straightforward pedometer, Fun filters on video camera, Live Pause for radio, Larger, brighter screen
  • Middle-click button, Location of lens
  • Theres simply no better MP3 player thats available for under £150 with the wealth of features the new iPod nano has. The video recorder wont replace your Flip or HD camcorder, but will be handy for those action emergencies.

  • The 5th gen iPod nano is inarguably Apple's best yet. It's still more expensive than its peers, but it's got more style than any rival and the addition of a video camera gives it more than a modicum of substance too....
