The new iPod Touch has improved music playback quality and the revised battery should deliver 40 hours of music or seven hours of video. You need to use iTunes to handle your media and that's not a fun experience but the hardware is a joy to use and th...
Abstract: The iPod Touch, like the iPhone, has made its way through four generations of upgrades, but its changes have been more incremental, mostly concerned with increasing capacity and tweaking the external design. However, with this latest update, the iPod Touch has taken on the iPhone ...
The new iPod Touch is the best dedicated music player that Apple has released to date. The 'Retina' display, iOS4 and the faster processor mean that listening to music, playing games and surfing the Web are easier and more enjoyable than with its pred...
The iPod Touch is an amazingly versatile little gadget, and the improved performance of this model enhances its gaming credentials, while the FaceTime technology will appeal to adults and youngsters alike. The stills camera is unspectacular, but havin...
This is simply the best-looking iPod, indeed the best-looking MP3 player we've ever laid eyes on. The Touch 4G is even thinner than its predecessors – any bulges have been eradicated to leave a sheer, smooth device. The new Retina Display that it shares with the iPhone 4 is just as stunning with its crisp, clear 960×640 display – perfect for album artwork or the new Games Centre capabilities.Indee
The camera on the new iPod touch is still a touch disappointing. Stills top out at a maximum of 960×720, so you won't be replacing your cam with these just yet. And the fixed focus doesn’t help matters. The maximum capacity is a mere 64GB, so this is not for audiophiles. And the lack of FLAC support may put them off too. But then, this isn't a device designed for the audiophile market.

Slow connection speed, Poor photo quality, Disappointing Game Center
Battery life hasn't been compromised in the upgrades the iPod touch has received. Apple claims 40 hours of audio and seven of video, which isn't an unrealistic claim, but gaming is still very much a huge drain. A two hour game of Civilization Revolution t...
