Price; features; ease of use; user interface
Soft picture and some de-interlacing artefacts; no DTS-HD decoding built-in
Admittedly the BD-P1500 is noisy at first, and it is quite a chunky player. But it's actually very simple to use, is spry in its operation and can chuck a 1080/24p picture on your TV like the best of them. Considering the price, we seriously think thi...
Abstract: The BD-P1500 is the cheapest Blu-ray player to date, excluding a few end-of-line clearance deals. Its also one of the most stylish, with barely any interruptions to its glossy black front fascia. The disc mechanism can be quite noisy but this is o...
Reencodes DD Plus and Dolby TrueHD sound as DTS for optical audio out, One of the fastest players at startup, Support for BDLive from version 2.0 of firmware, Support for DivX from version 2.0 of firmware
Speedy with BD-Java-heavy content, Good video performance
No DTS-HD MA from the box, No analogue multichannel outs

Does not currently support Profile 2.0 or have onboard DTS-HD Master Audio decoding; Blu-ray image quality could be better; DVD playback will disappoint videophiles; no analog multichannel outputs; some annoying operational glitches; operational speed ...
The Samsung BD-P1500 lacks some features and doesnt perform as well as the PlayStation 3. But some of these issues will be addressed in future firmware upgrades.
