A formidable performer, and while it may not be the best DivX player on the market due to lack of bookmark/resume features, it is easily the best up-converting DVD player weve tested for those on a budget.

Worth it only for use with 1080p TVs with an HDMI input; no component video output.
Performing nearly as well as players costing four times the price, the Oppo DV-981HD is an unbeatable bargain for videophiles and enthusiasts.
