I really wish you could use it like a heart rate strap for running apps like Runtastic. You have to wear the watch fairly snugly
And if you don't remember to clean it or give your wrist a break
You can get a rash. Or at least I can. No smartphone notifi
Changeable watch faces
Weather app and music controls
No alarm functions
No food logging or weight logging
Battery life a touch on the short side (4 days)
Can't manually edit entries that Body IQ incorrectly estimates (like the exact start and end times of an activity or sleep period)
Its swipe-based interface is almost too smart for its own good. Many promised features won't be available until future firmware updates. The watch isn't very attractive or stylish
And its mobile app design is far behind competitors like Jawbone
Not all features available at launch
Doesn't track distance
Smartwatch-style notifications can't come soon enough
Infrequent but still very real heart-rate dropouts are annoying

Can automatically detect when you're exercising or sleeping, Continuous heart rate monitoring, Long battery life, Comfortable to wear, Interchangeable band
Expensive for a fitness tracker, Not as attractive as rival devices, Doesn't track distance, Smartwatch-like notifications not available at launch, The app still doesn't offer much insight into what your data means
Despite its relatively high price (and a few imperfections), the Basis Peak is still one of the best fitness trackers you can buy right now. That's mostly because of how automated it is, with the ability to track your sleep and workouts without you having...

Yeah, if you want an activity monitor, and you want it now. At $200, its coming in on the higher end, but its simply more capable and more accurate than any of the other activity trackers Ive used to date. It gives you more data and helps you come up w...

Despite some smart features, the Basis Peak is a fitness watch that's impressively automatic but too limited and unfinished to feel like a truly great product....
Not all features available at launch, Doesn't track distance
A large display, attractive design and some smartwatch functionality make the Basis Peak an excellent activity tracker. As the first wrist activity-band with a built-in heart rate monitor, the Basis B1 helped pave the way for a generation of fi...

Smartwatch-style notifications can't come soon enough, Infrequent but still very real heart-rate dropouts are annoying
The real-time heart-rate tracking isn't perfect, but it comes close. And with automatic sleep and exercise tracking, and an improved industrial design, the Basis Peak is much better than its predecessor....

A little chunky for petite people. No buttons; touch-screen only. Doesn't measure distance. Mobile-only wireless syncing, which means an iOS or Android device is required. No stopwatch. No calorie-counting system
The Basis Peak impresses with its ability to automatically track runs, walks, bicycle rides, and sleep, without you having to do a thing. The built-in heart rate monitor works well, and overall, it's the best activity tracker you can buy right now....
Buggy software, Bluetooth connection issues, More utilitarian than fashionable, Poor Android device compatibility, Notifications are poorly implemented
