  • HTC's Windows Phone 8X is a delightful phone with excellent performance, decent battery life, a gorgeous screen in a unique form factor. It has the promise of being one of the best phone's on the market, but is disadvantaged by a half-baked app store and a lack of Nokia's proprietary apps. Nevertheless, the 8X has a great camera, best-in-class sound quality with Beats Audio and a powerful headphone amplifier, and a number of features that make it worth your time. Considering it is being heavily discounted on both Rogers and Bell at the moment, it may be worth looking into....

  • Windows Phone 8X Display and UI The 720p 4.3 inch display of the HTC Windows Phone 8X is very good. Colours are vibrant, whites are pure and blacks, while not as inky as on the iPhone 5 or the ClearBlack display of the Lumia 920 (there it is again), st...

  • 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture, Elegant, latest WP8 OS, Unibody polycarbonate design, Fantastic contacts integration
  • No removable battery, No expandable memory, Rubbish multiple calendar support, Mediocre battery life
  • When we reviewed earlier Windows Phone handsets, we were told the platform needed time to bed in. It's had that and it's evolved but we can't help feeling there are still a few areas it really is left lacking. Things like the poor media support are inexc...

  • OK, let's consider the Windows Phone 8X compared with its Windows competition — and then we'll look at the wider market. Personally, I haven't reviewed Nokia's Lumia 920 and 820 devices yet, but I have played with them during their Australian launch fes...

  • Beautiful LCD screen. Smooth user experience. Good battery life
  • No expandable memory. Camera not on par with other HTCs. HTC apps are a bland assortment
  • HTC's Windows Phone 8X needed that "one more thing" to justify its place among the premium phones, but fails to deliver. It's a good phone, just not a great one....

  • Lovely balanced feel; 4G connection; Beats Audio "headphone amp" helps to provide tons of sound for wired earphones;
  • No microSD; 16GB storage with only 12GB free isn't really much these days; A deafening camera and audio bug: don't take pictures with headphones in; Not enough apps in the ecosystem;
  • If you're after a great Windows Phone 8 experience but haven't been at all intrigued by the big bulky 920 put forth thus far by Nokia, HTC's 8X could be the solution you're looking for.We're still not sure about that camera bug that seems to leave us deaf...
