The editors didn't like
This screen has embarrassing light bleed along the lower bezel. Come on
HTC
Do I need to say anything else? HTC does include a 3.5mm adapter as well as its USBC U Sonic earbuds in the box
At least
This is one of the most slippery phones I have ever us
No headphone jack (ugh!)
Low-quality 3.5mm adapter
Disappointing selfie camera
Prev4 of 4Next
Body prone to fingerprints
No separate headphone jack
Glass build makes this fragile and a fingerprint magnet
Bezels are bigger than some other 2017 phones
No 3.5mm audio jack
Mode switching on the camera is clunky
No headphone jack
Back panel attracts fingerprints
Battery life is only OK
Fingerprint magnet
Lacks 3.5mm audio socket

The player is expensive and defiantly free of built-in streaming features. Picture performance isn't readily distinguishable from players at half the price
HDR
Average battery life
A bit bulky
Lack of a headphone jack is a nuisance
Squeeze feature is a complete gimmick
Not offered by 3 of the 4 major US carriers
Dated look
Noisecanceling earbuds aren't quite as impressive as they could be
Edge Sense feels overengineered (for what could be just a button)
Fancy audiorecording features difficult to appreciate
Battery size and performance don't impress
Substantial bezels
No headphone jack and only proprietary USB-C headphones work
Very slippery in the hand
Attracts fingerprints
Only in Sprint stores
Wireless charging is MIA
Glossy design looks great but is a fingerprint magnet
Lack of 3.5mm audio jack
Edge Sense needs more work
No HDR10 support at launch
No dual camera system
Pricey
HTC loves bezels. No headphone jack
Glass design is slippery and fragile
Battery life could be better
The Sense interface is getting old
SoC throttling under load
MicroSD slot is just average
Doesn't support aptX
Not all functions available when recording video
In some outdoor scenes a slight bluish cast is visible
Attractive glass build, Excellent camera, Good battery life,
No headphone jack, Edge sense feels a bit half-baked,

Fine design, excellent camera, great WiFi connectivity to media devices, very good value for money
High quality finish could be mistaken as plastic (but only when new)
The HTC U11 is markedly cheaper than the phones to which it should be compared, and it at least matches and usually exceeds them in most ways. Give it a close look.Tags AndroidEdge SensehtcNougatPrevious article Review: Apple MacBook Pro 15 inchThomas Bar...

It's a performance monster, it's gorgeous front and back, it's water-resistant, it's big-screen. The HTC U11 ticks the boxes that matter
The HTC U11's squeezable sides feel more gimmicky than novel, as does HTC's virtual assistant. The stunning glass rear is prone to smudging, and the battery felt very thirsty
You won't be picking this one up for squeezable sides. You'll be picking up the HTC U11 for the performance and the design...

Blazing fast performance thanks to Snapdragon 835, Camera works well and produces fantastic results, Minimal design stays out of the way, Edge Sense is a gimmick that works
Missed some esoteric features from other devices, Rear glass is a fingerprint magnet, USB-C audio is great as long as you don't lose HTC's earphones and adapter
