The iCade Mobile's buttons work responsively
And the accessory does indeed add physical controls to your iPhone or iPod Touch
The iCade 8-Bitty Retro Wireless Game Controller is cute
Not too expensive
And works with a decent batch of iCade-compatible games. It's also Android-compatible
Classic design. Easy to set up. Responsive.
The editors didn't like
The unit is bulky
The buttons feel cheap
And the list of supported games is limited. Also
There isn't an analog pad for more modern shooters
It's not a universal controller. Some compatible games end up with awkward button layouts. The old-fashioned lack of analog pads means it won't work with many iOS games. Android compatibility limited to an emulator app
