The editors didn't like
Unpolished features
Few Windows Phone apps designed for large displays
Virtually no Google app support
Wide handset
Underwhelming video recording
Hollow sounding speaker
AT&T debuts the Lumia 1520 with just 16 GB of internal storage and removes Qiwireless charging to make the device less spectacular. No stylus limits productivity and the sixinch display may be too much for some consumers
AT&T's shenanigans
Too big—way too big
Windows Phone is still a work in progress
And you'll have to be patient
Its size makes one-handed operation difficult
And call quality was muddier than on most Nokia phones. Limited voice dictation and voice assistance in the OS hobbles its usefulness as a phablet
Camera's rather slow. Comically huge. In the end
Just a big phone
Hard to hold with one hand
Limited app selection
This is a huge phone! Windows app store selection is getting better but still doesn't match Android and IOS selection
Third-party apps need some fostering
Not as mature as iOS and Android. Camera is good but 20 megapixel camera equally competes with iPhone and high end Androids
Too big for some hands/pockets
Windows Phone OS still lacks apps
Windows Phone doesn't take advantage of the big screen
No HD content from Xbox Video
Slow camera
Massive sized phone for no compelling reason
Poorly designed right buttons
Lack of support for Qi charging
Limited 12 GB available internal storage memory
Pricing and availability
AT&T yet again scores another exclusive and with that comes the inabil
Slightly bigger than other 6inch screen phablets. Polycarbonate body feels cheap. Design doesn't stand out. At all
App options still relatively low on WP as compared to iOS and Android
Lack of Google apps and a unified notification centre may sour the deal
Requires connivance with the devil to buy
Cumbersome hardware
Software doesn't take full advantage of large screen size
Windows Phone is coming due for a refresh
Still lacking some apps
Call quality poor at times
Windows Phone 8 can feel overbearing
App selection still lacking compared to iOS and Android
Can't replace battery
Can't remove back
Huge handset isn't for everyone. Windows Phone generally isn't optimized for the large display. No stylus support.
Full HD screen, Extra space for more Live Tiles, Fast, powerful processor, Great 20-megapixel camera, MicroSD card support, Great battery life
Size will be too large for many, Stereo speakers would be nice, Windows Phone may be a turn off
The Lumia 1520 is the best Windows Phone we've ever reviewed. The only things holding it back are its large size, which will alienate many buyers, and WP8 itself. It's a fitting end to Nokia's phone legacy: fantastic hardware that would sell far better ...

The camera's really fun, the screen's impressive and the battery life will not let you down.
It's too big to use with one hand and too heavy as well. The camera's automatic and video modes need work too
We've never accused a phone of being too big before but this one really is. The screen and camera are great but the trade-off doesn't quite match up....
Abstract: A smartphone and a tablet . The biggest Windows Phone to date. Here's our Nokia Lumia 1520 video review. If you're in denial about 'phablets' then take a look at the Lumia 1520. With a 6in screen the handset has one inch on most flagship smartphone and ...
Abstract: The day has come when Nokia will stand up and be recognised as a force to be reckoned with. This stance comes in the form of the stunning Lumia 1520.This large (there is no hiding it really) phone is the one that has been designed to bring the fight to...
Design and body, Amazing screen, Nokia HERE maps, Video function, Battery life, MicroSD card slot
Interface needs more functions that fully exploit the large display, Still photos: inaccurate colours and slow autofocus
With its well-designed body, superb 6" display, exemplary responsiveness and long battery life, Nokia's first phablet is no less than one of the best Windows Phones to date, a good buy if ever there was one. But when it comes to the symbiosis between a bi...

The Nokia Lumia 1520 has got so many things right including build quality, a great camera and a good looking screen. It's the best Windows Phone yet but software is still lacking and we just wish the darn thing was smaller because it's severely off puttin...

So what's the verdict? If you were to not switch it on and just look at the hardware, you'd think it's a winner – great processor, great camera, great build quality and an awesome screen. It feels great to hold.Unfortunately when you switch it on and disc...
The Nokia Lumia 1520 is yet another corker from the Finnish manufacturer. The brand has really pulled it out of the bag this year, with rapid product releases and well-made, well-performing devices. The 1520 is no different. It has a fantastic screen, feel...
Massive, bright and clear display, Impressive camera with fantastic low-light performance, Bristling with power, Top-notch build quality
Apps. Or rather, the lack of them, No special treats to make the most of the big screen, Camera can be slow to shoot
The 1520 is the biggest, most powerful Windows Phone to date, and continues Nokia's legacy of pushing the Windows Phone envelope. While it might not have the large sensor of the Lumia 1020 , its camera is still hugely impressive, producing shots that ar...
