  • Tiny, innovative and fun....
  • Cheap looking and exceptionally basic features. Look and Feel...
  • The Modu is a bold and exciting re-imagining of what a mobile phone should be, but it’s a largely unsuccessful experiment, hobbled by a terrible screen, lack of features and low-end jackets. ...

  • We can appreciate the genius in the Modu concept, but the reality of this concept is half-baked at best.

  • A cool idea in theory, light and compact design, wide variety of potential uses for modu jackets
  • Limited functionality, not a huge variety of jackets available, mediocre screen, no vibration, no 3G
  • The success of the modu phone will depend entirely on the quality of the jackets available. Though a modular phone sounds like a good idea, the limited jackets we've seen don't offer anything terribly exciting. In a day and age of fully featured touch-scr...

  • Interesting concept. 2GB internal storage
  • Poor basic performance. Jackets are garbage. Expensive for what you get
  • We can appreciate the genius in the Modu concept, but the reality of this concept is half-baked at best....

  • Abstract:  Yes the manufacturers inform me this is the world’s smallest phone. As such it has no keypad all the controls are via the screen. Should you want a keypad or a camera then a sleeve can be purchased. However then its not the worlds smallest phone....

  • A cool and unique concept. Keeps things nice and simple
  • Lack of decent storage. Jackets idea feels a tad gimmicky. Expensive. Outdated OS
  • A clever concept, but Modu is a pricey and a needless purchase in these days of top-end smarties ...

  • Lightweight; good audio playback quality
  • Expensive; very limited set of features; poor talk time; fiddly to use without one of the jackets; web browser doesn't work; dated interface
  • Eagle-eyed readers will have noticed that we did not refer to the Modu as a smartphone. This is because it is an awkward attempt to mash together an MP3 player with a simple phone. The result is abject failure as the Modu feels like it's from the 90s....

  • It’s tiny, fun and certainly unlike anything else out there.
  • The features are basic, and the jackets look cheap.
  • Innovative and exciting, but it doesn't work as well as we had hoped
