Samsung zal het vooral hebben over dat het toestel iets goedkoper is geworden dan haar voorganger, maar bezuinigen is het echte onderwerp in deze review. Samsung heeft op vrijwel alle fronten haar best gedaan om een top beleving te leveren en toch overal te beknibbelen op de uitgaven. Dat is een keuze. Het zorgt er wel voor dat gamers beter uit kunnen wijken naar Chinese smartphones. Zelfs de modellen van vorig jaar. Dat liefhebbers van gebogen displays meer moeten uitgeven, of moeten uitwijken naar de Chinezen. Dat liefhebbers van goede draadloze audio moeten uitwijken naar de Chinezen. Foto en videoliefhebbers worden wel goed verwend, zolang het niet donker wordt. Eigenlijk hebben de bezuinigingen er voor gezorgd dat Samsung wel opnieuw een toptoestel oplevert, maar nergens echt nog in uitblinkt met deze release.
