  • Abstract:  Before it was purchased by eBay last year, relatively few people (at least in this country) had heard of Skype, the Luxembourg-based Internet telephony provider. But after about a year of heavy marketing on this side of the Atlantic, more and more peop...

  • Easy Wi-Fi set-up, No need for a connected PC, Good audio quality
  • Much more expensive than a set of headphones, Bland visual design, Battery life could be better
  • If youre hopeless Skypeaholic with a home Wi-fi router, the SPH101 is your dream product. If youre a budget minded VoIP fanatic, maybe not. ...

  • Free Skype calls via Wi-Fi without the need to turn on your PC
  • Cant be used on most public hotspots, Handsets not exactly feature-packed, No instant messaging, Edge-Core is cheaper
  • This is flawed and pricier than its rival. Wed love to see a Skyper from a "proper" phone manufacturer like Nokia, though

  • Lets you use VoIP away from the PC. Easy to set up and use. Free calls to other Skype users.
  • Poor attempt at iPod-like looks. Feels a little cheap for a £150 phone. Only works with open Wi-Fi networks.
  • A quiet breakthrough, marred by Taiwanese styling. At last, internet calls get up from the PC and start leaping around the house. ...

  • Tout simple à utiliser, ce téléphone sans fil est génial pour téléphoner sur Skype sans PC, dans n’importe quel endroit couvert par un réseau WiFi crypté ou non.
  • La qualité sonore est très inégale et le prix trop élevé.
