Overly complicated and confusing camera takes a long time to figure out
Movie recording cuts off nearly a second beforethe start/stop button was pressed (easy to work around
But a nuisance nonetheless)
Differences between still and video frame sizes...
No optical viewfinder
No image stabilization
Only average image quality
Big for a mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera
No in-body image stabilization
Expensive
Might be better suited for video than stills
Camera is bulkier than most mirrorless models
Shutter makes a little noise
Even in "mute" mode
Price is high for an easytouse camera
With large 14140mm lens
Camera is heavy
Needs a tripod
Big for a mirrorless interchangeablelens camera
No inbody image stabilization
Featureladen to the point of feeling bloated. Pricey
Annoying AVCHD-imposed limitations for video
No way to lock AF area on touch screen
Middling battery life
Slow continuous shooting when continuous AF is enabled
Live view not available during continuous bursts above 3fps
Noisier images than good APS-C models at high sensitivities
Traditional DSLRs better for low light or fast action photography.
2.5mm mic jack (3.5mm preferred)
Plasticy finish
Image processing from ISO 1600 still leaves detail to be desired
Abstract: Although it was announced at Photokina 2010, we only received a review unit for the Panasonic GH2 at the end of January, which is a pity as this camera has plenty to offer to Photo Review readers. Replacing the DMC-GH1, it offers higher resolution and ...
28 mm wideangle, Great touchscreen display, Excellent video in 1080i
Uses unusual 2.5 mm mic input, Autofocus is quiet, but not very fast, Very average sensitivity, Not much use for the 24p mode, No progressive zoom
The GH2 produces excellent quality HD video which looks great in wide-angle. Its autofocus struggles a bit when the subject moves and a 3.5 mm mic input would be a better choice. You can still turn out very good films with it though....
The GH2 is great to use, the features are innovative and add value to the package, and stills and movies are of great quality too. A good all-rounderOverall Our provides the latest photography news, reviews, previews, features and tecniques. Alternat...
The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GH2 is a Micro Four Thirds camera that offers a plethora of features for advanced photographers to play with, but it also has an automatic mode so that inexperienced users can also get in on all the fun. Its image quality is gr...
Hugely Versatile, One-touch HD Video recording, Articulated touchScreen, Fast performance, Close to SLR image quality
Slightly cramped feel, Expensive, Slightly fiddly touchscreen interface, Image quality not quite up to a DSLR
Flick the on/off switch that encircles the shooting mode wheel, along with a second switch allowing for the swapping of its drive modes, and the GH2 powers up more or less instantaneously. And as mentioned earlier, autofocus is exceptionally fast, while s...
Despite the new 16.05-million-pixel sensor, it is the new high-speed, contrast-detection AF and video capabilities of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2 that really make it stand out from its competitors. The superb EVF should allay the scepticism of those who h...
Incredibly fast autofocus, impressive image quality to ISO 1600
2.5mm mic port, on the expensive side, plasticy exterior
The GH2 has the best contrast detection autofocus system of any camera available on the market. Great movie options and a touchscreen LCD are certainly high points, but a plasticy-feeling build quality and relatively high price point may keep it from u...
Photo quality fails to live up to the high price, but for videos, the smooth autofocus, extensive options and sublime quality are a winning combination. ...
