The editors liked

  • Incredibly clean exterior design
  • Steel front panel with unique mesh design
  • Cable channel with useful Velcro strips
  • Additional Velcro strip inside the box
  • Side panels are secured by two methods
  • Beautifully fitting window panel
  • Lots of places to secur

The editors didn't like

  • Focus on clean design and accents vs. squeezing lots of functional features into the case
  • Side window tint a bit on the heavy side
  • Two USB 3.0 ports would have been nice
  • It would have been nice to include a 3.5 mm jack adapter for separate connectors

  • Aside from a bit too much marketing chatter like AirGuide technology, anti-vortex vanes, and words like RapidRoute we feel the new 4000D series is simply put a well-executed product series. Good looks, good performance, and a decent feature set. Not just...

  • Abstract:  We've been sent three cases for review by Corsair: the 4000D, the 4000D Airflow, and the 4000X. Today we'll be covering the two 4000D variants, since they're entirely identical other than the “front bezel” plate that ships with the enclosure. Companies li...

  • Abstract:  When I pulled Corsair's 4000X out of its box, the first thought that went through my mind is “Is this a 350D?” The new Corsair Obsidian 4000 series cases look remarkably like 350D and 450D siblings from 6 to 7 years ago, and that's a good thing. Sometimes...

  • The computer building process was extremely enjoyable with the Corsair 4000D. It was easy to work with since everything was laid out in a pretty standard manner. I first installed the power supply into the PSU chamber. The power supply used in this comput...

  • Disappointing I/O selection, Tight on space at the top, Side panels are fiddly,
  • Consistent performance, Great build quality, Incredible airflow
  • 8Featuring a sleek look and great build quality, the Corsair 4000D AIRFLOW delivers great performance and amazing airflow at a decent price, but a disappointing I/O selection, fiddly panels, and an annoyingly sensitive reset button, which ultimately keep...

  • Air flow works well, Dust filters all round that are easy to clean, USBC on front I/O, Decent build quality, Reasonable price
  • Black versions of the 4000 have very heavily tinted glass, Fans are 3pin rather than PWM, Case gets noisy when the cooling works hard
  • When Corsair first told us the 4000D and 4000D AirFlow would each sell for £79.99 with identical features, apart from the panel that clips in the front of the case, we figured the AirFlow model would be the most interesting for our enthusiast audience at...

  • Abstract:  The latest range of PC cases from Corsair are here at last. Simply named the 4000 series, the new cases come in three similar, yet also rather distinct flavours. There's the 4000D, which is the standard model if you will. Then there's the 4000D Airflow, w...
