The editors didn't like

  • Would like to see a little more built in control for setting temperature alarms. Currently the only way to set up any kind of alarms with the Vantage is by using CoolIt’s Maestro software
  • Mounting screws could be a little bit beefier.
  • No pushpull fan configuration
  • Not the best performance
  • Expensive
  • Not the best cooler for the cash.
  • Can't compete with the latest water coolers or highend air coolers
  • Unit's availability is in doubt
  • Cannot drive highcurrent fans
  • May require direct connection to power supply
  • Cable to the motherboard slightly short

  • The Vantage isn’t a bad cooler overall I think. It’s easy to install and for those wanting a hassle free liquid cooling system in their computer this is the safest and easiest way to do it. There’s no maintenance required so you won’t have to worry ...

  • CoolIT Systems has added another fine product to their repertoire of liquid cooled heat-sinks. The Vantage A.L.C. brings an enclosed loop liquid cooling system for the CPU to a wider audience, some of which may not yet have the experience (or necessit...

  • The Vantage looks to be well made, runs nice and quiet, and at around the $100 mark with a 2 year warranty could give a user wanting to try water, but leery of building a custom loop, an option for less than a full-on custom water loop. ...

  • The temperature shown on the LCD display is actually for the coolant in the unit, not for the CPU itself. This was very interesting to me because most people want to know the CPU temps instead of the coolant temp. The Coolit Vantage showcased some im...

  • The CoolIT Vantage A.L.C. CPU cooler is a very interesting piece of hardware that does not need any type of maintenance (well, except from cleaning dust off the radiator from time to time). The product has a brain and a very nice LCD display that ca...
