The editors didn't like

  • Price (for some)
  • Installation
  • Big and heavy
  • Dry thermal paste
  • Not as good with low airflow
  • Heavy/Tall
  • Price
  • Inflexible AMD mounting
  • Mounting solution (needs a backplate)

  • More expensive
  • And not quite as effective as its peers. No multifan support.
  • At just shy of two pounds
  • Using screws instead of baseplate is a little scary

  • The CNPS10X Extreme is much needed model for Zalman. By finally employing a tower heatpipe design, Zalman is back in competition with the top CPU cooler manufacturers of today. While it is not the best performing model, it is excellent, and a good fir...

  • Abstract:  As it stands, the reason why we like this cooler so much is because it really does suit many people’s needs. While it may not be the best in all situations it is very good in nearly every situation we threw at it. This coupled with some great features allows us to award the Zalman CNPS10X Extreme our Damn Innovative award..
