The editors liked

  • Large easy to use layout for those gifted/cursed with gorilla mitts
  • Easy to use lighting that relies ONLY on internal software
  • Included cable is difficult to get snagged due to the braided covering and is LOOONG. Is a very solid keyboard will not easily slide around with basic usage
  • The Snake mode is a simple but effective time sink
  • Genuine Cherry MX key switches
  • ABS key caps with UV coating
  • Four custom macro profiles
  • 35 LED backlight schemes
  • NKey rollover feature
  • Windows key cap replacement

The editors didn't like

  • I’d have liked to have had full RGB
  • I’m not a fan of what I’ve called ‘Password Theft’ mode only because not everyone focuses on password safety
  • Singleshot painted key caps
  • 5′ USB cable may be too short
  • Lacks dedicated media keys
  • No GUI macro software

  • Quick Fire XTi does provide the same key press feeling as many other keyboards we have tested in the past from other manufacturers since it does use the well-known Cherry MX Brown switches, which are great for both typing and gaming. With this model, we w...

  • While it's not immediately apparent, the minimalist design combined with its beautiful backlighting makes the Quick Fire XTi one of the better looking mechanical keyboards on the market. Despite being only capable of displaying a mix of colors between blu...

  • Cooler Master's Quick Fire range of keyboards have always impressed, and the XTi is no different. It's solidly built, very compact for a gaming keyboard, has all those media keys without taking up extra space, and with a bit of work, can be set up with a...

  • Choosing a keyboard is an intensely personal thing – this is a device you will be living with for several years and placing the health of your hands in the care of. Everyone’s hands are different but in my experience, the basic layout used by keyboard makers based...

  • Cooler Master listened to consumer feedback, made some tweaks to their already proven keyboard design elements, added colored lighting effects and ended up with the Quick Fire XTi.  The simplistic design will appeal to mature gamers and enthusiasts, while...

  • With so many mechanical gaming keyboards on the market, and our quest to ensure that every last one of them is reviewed, it's possible for them to blur together a little bit. The CM Storm Quickfire XTi stands out thanks to a few conscious choices on the p...

  • We feel that the Cooler Master Quick Fire XTi is definitely a product recommended for any gamer that likes to add a little more niche for his or her PC gaming rig thanks to the bling factor the Red/Blue LEDs offer. At 150 EURO it isn't cheap, but not too...

  • After spending time with the Quickfire XTi I can say that I am really impressed with the direction Cooler Master has gone. They took an already great design with the Rapid-I and slipped in a few features as well as a number pad and made it a well-rounded...

  • Abstract:  In the summer I went to a lab to get blood work done for my annual checkup. As this was the first time I ever did any kinds of these tests, I made a number of rookie mistakes. I was told if I went in early, I would be able to get out quickly. However, if...
