Abstract: We've abided by Intel's 1.55 V recommendation for two architectures and two die shrinks, yet most performance memory manufacturers ignore it. Recent problems with one of our builds raised the question, how far can we push RAM without killing CPUs? Remem...
This is a very nice ram kit with a lot of potential, you can overclock it quite a bit and it runs smooth and stable at a high performance. The size makes it possible to mount big cpu coolers and have a lot more space around the cpu socket for mods and...
This particular Crucial Ballistix kit works extremely well on AMD-based platforms and they are quite versatile in regards to the speeds and timings that they can run. We found that with little effort we were able to get these sticks clocking well with...

The Crucial Ballistix 1600 Mhz ram preformed better than most would have thought. It offers a lot of potential to overclockers and enthusiasts. The Ballistix excelled in our tests. The higher the Mhz, the better it proved to be. Even though I was limit...

The Crucial 4GB PC3-12800 DDR3 kit with thermal sensor offered rock solid performance during our testing. In most of our testing, the stock speed results were comparable with other 1600MHz kits on hand, and we were able to get about a 250MHz overclock...
In any field someone always has to be the fore-runner. The bow that breaks the waves to allow everyone else to follow in the wake. More often than not that very fore-runner is quickly overtaken by everyone else as they refine and improve the process.Sadly...

Crucial Ballistix BL2KIT25664FN1608 performance is just average. The kit isn't able to work at 1T command rate and it needs more than 1.5v to work stable with very loose timings and common frequencies. They also suffered from a cold boot bug or someth...
Abstract: Video Review: The Crucial Ballistix PC3-12800 DDR3 Dual Channel 4GB Memory performs very well. It has a speed of 1600MHz, latency of 8-8-8-24 and is 1.65 volts. The orange/silver heatspreader looks excellent and since this memory is of normal dimension it will not interfere with CPU coolers. I was a little disappointed though that it would not run at 8-8-8-24 using 1T, I had to set it to 2T. This is still very acceptable and still yields excellent results.
Abstract: It took a while for me to notice it, until I installed them into the test system actually, but after doing so I noticed to my regret that Crucial had sent us a 3Gb kit, instead of the 6Gb kit we agreed on. This wasn't obvious from the outside (the module size is nowhere mentioned), however it..
Abstract: As we come close to the end of the year we see DDR2 prices drop like flies and new hardware requiring DDR3.This only tells us one thing.....Yes, finally DDR3 has become mainstream and with this mainstream status we see the prices start to become reason...
