high quality case, good screen, 2x USB-C w/ Thunderbolt 3, long battery runtime, great touchpad, Touch-ID fingerprint scanner, often silent operation, very good speakers, sufficient everyday performance
very low CPU performance, display is not as good as on the MacBook Pros, only USB-C and stereo jack, fan is way too loud for this level of performance, long charging time, no Wi-Fi 6; only Bluetooth 4.2, no SD reader, very high prices for storage upgrade
– MacBook Air appears outdatedNot a lot has changed in the 2019 version of the MacBook Air. The screen now manages the advertised luminance and the added True Tone support is certainly a benefit. There is not much criticism for the display in general, bu...

In 2020, there's little reason to opt for the older MacBook Air 2019. It wasn't that different from the 2018 edition and the keyboard is still not perfect. Apple's True Tone display technology did arrive but this isn't a huge deal.If retailers were offeri...
Touch ID means you can unlock the laptop with your finger and even quickly pay using Apple Pay, The laptop features a backlit keyboard and a touchpad that uses haptic feedback, You can now simply say 'Hey Siri' to your Mac to summon Apple's voice assistan

The perfect combination of portability and style. This is a great laptop that copes well with web browsing, word processing and basic photo editing. The True Tone technology and price drop is an added bonus, but it's still not for those on a limited budge...
Now available at a lower entry price of £1,099/$1,099, the MacBook Air is an appealing if little-changed laptop. The big news for long-time Air enthusiasts is that the keyboard is. well, still not perfect, but at least better. The depth of travel remains...

New keyboard material (which you can't see) vastly improves typing issues of predecessor, Price drop over 2018 model, Large trackpad with Force Touch control, Touch ID login via fingerprint is great, Solid battery life
The keyboard is still rather loud when typing, Only Thunderbolt 3 (2x USB-C) ports and no SD card slot, No Face ID login, Some Windows competition offer smaller bezel designs
The MacBook is dead, long live the MacBook Air! This 2019 version does some key things: in the absence of the 12-inch MacBook, the Air is a far better proposition; the price is £100 lower than the previous year, keeping it more competitive; the keyboard d...

Sharp, True Tone Retina display, Excellent battery life, Very snappy to use
Just 128GB of storage, and upgrades are expensive, Uncertain keyboard woes, Dual-core power may limit some
If you're looking for a new thin-and-light more generally, it's a really really strong choice. It's fast, it lasts away from power for a long time, Apple stuff is generally highly reliable, usability is good… it's a really nice machine. Our main issue is t...

Lovely design, Screen is great, Fantastic battery life, New lower price
Underpowered, Lack of storage space, Pricey to upgrade, Only two Thunderbolt 3 ports, Expensive
Apple's release of the MacBook Air (2019) is a bit baffling. It's not been that long since the launch of the MacBook Air (2018), and the new version only adds a few new tweaks. While True Tone is a nice feature, it's far from essential, though Apple's con...
