  • Gateway offers only an external USB optical drive. Bundled 29-Wh battery wont cut it.
  • The E-100M is still one of the most reasonably priced ultraportables on the market, and you get more for your money this time around, with the processor upgrade and extra RAM....

  • Extremely portable and lightweight; upgrade to Core Duo CPU; subdued black design; advanced security features, such as TPM chip.
  • The outside of the case is slightly fingerprint-prone; no built-in optical drive; only Core Duo CPU, not newer Core 2 Duo.
  • Gateway upgrades the basic black E-100M with a Core Duo CPU to create an unassuming ultraportable that fits the bill for consumers and business users on the go.

  • Performance is underwhelming. Mouse buttons are noisy.
