The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 suffers from poor touchpad design
And the positioning of “Fn” and “Ctrl” key still is a problem
Review
If there’s one thing that we’ve learnt after reviewing so many ultralight laptops
It’s that the ultralight laptops certainly aren’t the machines that will please everyone. But the Lenovo ThinkPad X220 comes to us as a shocker
And we are more than happy to see
Washed-out
Flaky webcam
Short palm rest
Poor palm rejection
Bottom Got Quite Warm During Heavy Use
No Bluetooth
New touchpad design is a one-finger-at-a-time navigating tool. Unexciting color.
Comes overloaded with background apps
Buttonless touchpad may bother some users
No docking station pass through on the optional slice battery
No dedicated graphics option
The touch-pad-pointing-stick combo remains an awkward compromise
And as with most ThinkPads you're paying a hefty premium for the sturdy case and business-friendly software
Clickpad can be a bit wonky Design may feel outdated to some Can get pricey with configuration options

USB 3.0 is only available with the Core i7, Positioning of the ports, VGA signal quality, Case quality up close, CPU throttling in a variety of situations
The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 may not be perfect, but it is a well-designed laptop with the typical ThinkPad "flair". The notebook offers good mobility and the latest hardware - a combination hard to resist. So we can safely say that the Lenovo ThinkPad X220 i...

ThinkPad users won't find anything mind-blowingly different about this latest addition to the X2xx series, but the improvements are noticeable and all enhance the usability of the unit. If you're not looking for a laptop that is super-sexy or trying t...

Abstract: The Lenovo ThinkPad x220 is a new 12.5″ ultraportable notebook that will be available for purchase in April. We've had a chance to use the ThinkPad x220 as our primary notebook for the past several weeks and we have been blown away by what this 2nd Gen Co...
Extremely comfortable keyboard Superb battery life Great performance
Clickpad can be a bit wonky Design may feel outdated to some Can get pricey with configuration options
It's true, from afar the X220 could be mistaken as a five year old laptop -- one that couldn't last longer than four hours on a charge, and would be considered sluggish by today's standards (most likely because it would have been running Vista!). But in f...
