The editors didn't like

  • Lots of screens to navigate. Admin management screens and workflow could be better organized. SharePoint offline file synching quirky. Needs more robust mobile integration. Microsoft needs to keep pricing models and SKUs simple and easy to understand.
  • Separate screen to save and share documents is jarring
  • Not as touch-friendly as we'd like
  • Can't view others' edits in real-time
  • Separate Desktop and Modern versions of same app

  • Professional email, collaboration and communications capabilities available on subscription basis, access anywhere via a browser
  • Office Web Apps no replacement for desktop applications, clunky Lync client needs installing locally
  • Office 365 offers Exchange email and SharePoint collaboration, without the need to install any servers or pay upfront costs. The web-based suite may lack some high-end features, but it is likely to prove very attractive for small businesses at this pri...

  • Requires an active Internet connection whereas CD/DVDbased Office versions do not
  • Overall, Office 365 for enterprises' web-enabled tools let me access email, important documents and efficiently collaborate with those inside and outside my test organisation's boundaries. This cloud service works handily with Microsoft's desktop office a...
