The editors liked

  • It has a good range of frequency response to cover the whole human range
  • Small form factor card fits tight cases
  • Full X-Fi acceleration and everything that comes with it
  • PCI Express connectivity.

The editors didn't like

  • The Forte is a little low with the input signaltonoise ratio.
  • Any audio card is better than an onboard codec
  • But is this card $150 better?
